For competition, no challenge too great for Remington's Versa Max Competition Tactical. It is based on the Versa Max Tactical, then outfitted it to meet the 3-gunner's demands. Features include an 8-shot magazine with a carbon fiber two-shot extension, oversized bolt release button, bolt release and trigger guard for handling with gloves, and an enlarged loading port for faster reloads. It reliably cycles 12-gauge rounds from 2.75" to 3". The Versaport gas system regulates cycling pressure based on shell length and reduces recoil to that of a 20-gauge. It is self-cleaning and continuously cycled thousands of rounds in torture test. The green Cerakoted receiver is set off nicely with the black synthetic stock and forend with overmolded grips. It uses Remington's Pro Bore Extended Choke System and the raised rib includes a fiber optic front bead and shallow rear XS express dovetail sights. The Versa Max tactical shotgun is fully modified with the features and benefits that 3-Gun Competitors are looking for along with the legendary reliability and low recoil that makes the Versa Max a top choice of Competitive Shooters.
